Lily Allen bought her Dior wedding dress just hours before Vegas ceremony
Lily Allen has revealed she purchased her Dior dress just hours before her Las Vegas wedding to now husband David Harbour.
The singer, 35, who never announced her engagement, was originally planning on wearing a ‘Dolly Parton esque’ dress for the ceremony in September.
Speaking on the Sex, Lies & DM Slides podcast, Lily, who recently released her own sex toy, also admitted she felt like a ‘sexual facilitator’ for men in the bedroom during her twenties.
Last minute: Lily Allen, 35, has revealed she purchased her Dior dress just hours before her Las Vegas wedding to now husband David Harbour, 45
Speaking about her wedding dress, Lily explained she went shopping for it on the day of the ceremony with her daughter.
She said: ‘Well me and my daughter had gone to a place called Beautiful Brides that morning, to go and try on rental dresses and we found one that was like very Dolly Parton esque, like massive sleeves and diamontes and stuff.
‘I was planning on wearing that, and then me and my daughter went shopping and we went into the Dior store and found this dress.
‘I was like, “What do you think of this?” and she was like, “well, I don’t think you’re leaving this shop without it”.’

Lily and David, 45, tied the knot at the Graceland Chapel in Las Vegas and were married by an Elvis Presley impersonator.
Speaking about dating in her twenties, Lily admitted she had a lot of ‘fear’ around sex and sometimes felt like a ‘vessel’.
She said: ‘I felt like a vessel for male enjoyment and I think that a lot of it is fear. I think that like, we think, as soon as you’re not convincing him that he is doing a good job, he loses his confidence and then who knows what the f**k could happen when that happens.
‘You can either turn to anger or concern or whatever, but it’s not going to be a pleasurable experience, yes it does all come from a fearful place.’
Asked how many sex toys she owns, Lily said she has quite the collection and keeps them all in her washing basket.
Decision: Lily was originally planning on wearing a ‘Dolly Parton esque’ dress for the ceremony in September, with Lily never revealing the couple were engaged
She said: ‘Oh my god, so many, so many. I actually have basically a washing basket, in my bathroom, that’s got two sides to it. It’s like a double wash [basket].
‘I guess you’re meant to put like your whites and colours in it, or your dry cleaning and something else and it’s actually just washing, and dildos. And it literally goes to the top. The one place I know my kids are never gonna look is the washing basket.’
Discussing her wedding further, Lily admitted she never wanted to get married in Las Vegas but the coronavirus lockdowns made holding a ceremony anywhere difficult.
She said: ‘Why did we get married in Vegas? Because we just wanted to get married, and because the lockdown situations everywhere, it was just really difficult, and it was assumed (Las Vegas) to be the only place that was stupid enough to have a ceremony, so that’s how it happened.
Lily said: ‘I was planning on wearing that, and then me and my daughter went shopping and we went into the Dior store and found this dress’
‘Interesting though that we didn’t plan to announce it to anyone – it was meant to be a very private affair, and then we were leaving Vegas driving to Los Angeles, and Nevada Clark County tweeted our marriage certificate.
‘So, that saying of what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas is actually what happens in Vegas gets tweeted out by Vegas.’
Lily shared some snaps from her wedding day to Instagram, which saw the couple celebrate their union with dinner at the fast food chain In-N-Out.
The pair were joined by Lily’s children Ethel, eight, and Marnie, seven, as they tucked into their fast food outside.

Referencing their laid-back nuptials, David penned on Instagram: ‘In a wedding officiated by the king himself, the people’s princess wed her devoted, low born, but kind credit card holder in a beautiful ceremony lit by the ashen skies courtesy of a burning state miles away in the midst of a global pandemic.
‘Refreshments were served at a small reception following.’
Lily is said to have used the name Lily Cooper, her name from her previous marriage to ex-husband Sam Cooper who she shares her daughters with.
