Allbirds Just Dropped Its First-Ever Sustainable Clothing Line

Posted on

Allbirds

Anyone who owns Allbirds knows how supremely comfortable they are. Since launching in 2014, the brand has gained a massive following from celebrities and regular customers alike for its array of sustainable sneakers, flats, and slip-ons. Its latest launch aligns with its mission to create better things in a better way — and in a surprise twist, it’s not for your feet. Allbirds just dropped its first-ever line of clothing, and the apparel looks just as comfy as the shoes.

The collection features four styles for men and women (a boxy T-shirt, a pull-over sweater, a button-down cardigan, and a puffer coat) that combine timeless silhouettes with sustainably sourced, renewable materials. The TrinoXO Tee is made from its newest odor-reducing fabric that’s naturally derived from discarded crab shells. Its unique properties allow the tee to stay fresh for longer, so you can wash it less and wear it more.

The Wool Jumper and Wool Cardi are both knit from the same signature premium merino wool that Allbirds’ most popular sneakers are made from. They both have a slightly oversized fit and textured detailing that are designed to feel luxuriously cozy.

The Trino Puffer is crafted from a merino and tencel blend and filled with recycled polyester, unlike other coats that use traditional or synthetic down. Its water-repellent finish will keep you dry and warm during the coldest days.

Each piece is available in sizes XS to XXXL in an array of classic earth tones, along with a few limited-edition bright colors. Prices range from as little as $48 for the soft, lightweight tee to $250 for the super warm puffer coat.

If you’ve ever shopped an Allbirds drop, you know things tend to sell out quickly — and these comfy-conscious essentials are sure to do the same. Pick up these sustainable staples for your winter wardrobe before they’re gone!

Apple has dropped the price of its EarPods and iPhone wall chargers by $10, after it confirmed that the new iPhones it announced Tuesday would not ship with these accessories.

Its EarPod headphones — a wired alternative to Apple’s Bluetooth AirPods — are now $19 on the Apple Store, a third less than the previous price.

Its 20W power adapter, which lets you charge your phone at a plug socket, is also $19 — this is a new product, and down from $29 for the old adapter, which Apple has now discontinued.

Older iPhone models still on sale on the Apple Store, including the iPhone 11, XR, and SE, will also no longer ship with these accessories, the company said.

At its iPhone 12 announcement on Tuesday, the company said that shipping phones without these accessories would let it use smaller boxes, helping it meet its environmental goals.

“It’s like removing 450,000 cars from the road per year,” Apple executive Lisa Jackson said at the launch event.

Instead of a wall charger, the iPhone 12 will come with a USB-C to Lightning cable, which can be plugged into a computer or wall adapter for charging.

Other phone-markers have already removed chargers and headphones from their boxes, Ben Wood, chief of research at CCS Insight, told Business Insider, but many more companies will likely follow Apple’s lead.

Lily Collins Just Dropped Her $300 French Girl Beauty Routine Inspired by Emily in Paris

Netflix William Abadie, Lilly Collins

Emily in Paris star Lily Collins is living proof that you don’t have to be from the City of Love to pull off a Parisian-inspired beauty look. In a recent video for Vogue, the actress revealed exactly how she achieves the seemingly effortless, “no-makeup makeup” look that French women have long been known and envied for — and her final results don’t disappoint. She even revealed the exact beauty products she uses, from her go-to foundation to the lip gloss she’s been using since middle school. We did the math, and her entire routine of makeup, serums, and perfume comes in at a cool $300.

On the bright side, most of Collins’ beauty staples happen to be on sale right now. They’re all made by Lancôme (she’s an ambassador), and everything but the brand’s sought-after Le Monochromatique Eyeshadow and Highlighter is currently 25 percent off.

First, Collins preps her skin with a bit of the Advanced Génifique Anti-Aging Face Serum, which she says smells “so yummy.” She then applies a mix of the serum and Teint Idole Ultra Liquid Longwear Foundation all over her face with a sponge for a glowy, medium-coverage look. After setting her foundation with the Absolue Powder Radiant Smoothing Powder, she veers away from the makeup status quo and puts blush over the contours of her face rather than directly on her cheeks.

As for those iconic brows? Just a swipe with a spoolie and a dusting of Le Monochromatique beneath the arches, and boom: magnifique. To finish up the eyes, she draws on a thin cat-eye wing with the Grandiose Liner, then applies the Monsieur Big Mascara over her already voluminous lashes.

The 31-year-old became nostalgic as she moved to the final portion of her video, putting on a layer of neutral pink L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick and topping it off with a squeeze of her childhood-favorite makeup product, the recently relaunched Juicy Tubes Lip Gloss. “I remember going to the beauty counter and seeing all the colors lined up and being in awe,” she explains while spritzing on her La Vie est Belle Eau De Parfum. “It was kind of that way of wearing makeup, but also having it be a little bit off the radar.”
