Stuyvesant Plaza, the outdoor mall in Guilderland, is giving out $100,000 in gift cards to students at the University at Albany to help both the students and retail tenants cope with the COVID-19 pandemic and the economic strain it has caused.
Lori Van Buren/Albany Times UnionGUILDERLAND – Stuyvesant Plaza, the outdoor mall in Guilderland, is giving out $100,000 in gift cards that it is buying from its retailers to students at the University at Albany to help both the students and retail tenants cope with the COVID-19 pandemic and the economic strain it has caused.
The cards will be given out to “high-need” and “high achieving” students that UAlbany staff and professors believe “have taken a leadership role during this (COVID-19) crisis.” UAlbany will pick the retailers that best suit student needs.
