The Syracuse women’s team was set to play Division II Lincoln on Wednesday, but game officials spotted water in one area of the court.

After a 45-minute delay, the game was moved to the Carmelo K. Anthony Center and played as a scrimmage.

The SU athletic department issued a statement Wednesday night that indicated the roof was still being sealed but that the Orange’s game against Niagara on Thursday would be played as scheduled.

On Thursday morning, Pete Moore, SU’s director of athletic communications, confirmed that the SU-Niagara was still on. The game is set to start at 8 p.m. and will be televised on YES.

Wednesday was at least the second instance of water leaking through the Carrier Dome’s new roof. Water also came through the roof after Syracuse’s football game against Duke in November.
