Actor Sienna Miller and journalist Afua Hirsch will be joining Vogue’s first-ever virtual Forces of Fashion summit on November 16 and 17. Designer Joseph Altuzarra, Vogue’s Chief Critic Sarah Mower, Global Director of Vogue Runway Nicole Phelps, and Vogue Creative Editorial Director Mark Guiducci will also be participating this year.
A couple of weeks ago, we announced that Sarah Jessica Parker and Christopher John Rogers will be sitting down together at the summit. Among the other pairings are Tony and Grammy award-winning actor Cynthia Erivo and designer Craig Green, and Louis Vuitton Men’s Creative Director and founder and designer of Off-White Virgil Abloh and the supermodel Bella Hadid. In addition to those conversations, stylist and Vogue contributing editor Gabriella Karefa-Johnson will lead a discussion titled “Whose Positivity” with the models Paloma Elsesser, Precious Lee, Jill Kortleve, and Tess McMillan that will center around their experiences in the industry and the very real work that still needs to be done around size inclusivity within the world of fashion.
Other panel speakers include Vogue’s November and October cover stars Naomi Campbell and Lizzo, the latter of whom will be in conversation with designer Jeremy Scott; Victoria Beckham; and Alexander McQueen creative director Sarah Burton. Also participating this year will be Alber Elbaz of AZ Fashion, photographer Ethan James Green, Loewe creative director and JW Anderson founder Jonathan Anderson, and writer and director Reggie Yates. Topics will include racial equality, sustainability, and the future of the fashion industry as a whole. The two-day virtual event will include opening remarks from Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour, live Q&As with Vogue editors, networking sessions, and drop-ins from surprise guests, as well as a morning wellness session and happy hour on the second day.
In addition, VIP ticket holders will hear from The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Andrew Bolton and Nicolas Ghesquière, Artistic Director of Women’s Collections-Louis Vuitton, about the Costume Institute’s recently opened exhibition, “About Time: Fashion and Duration” exhibition and track fashion’s shifting relationships with the past, the present, and the future.
More details and tickets are available on the Forces of Fashion website. Check back for updates ahead of the event, which will take place on November 16 and 17.
Forces of Fashion 2020 will be presented by Grand Wagoneer and supported by Monogram Luxury Appliances.
