Jennifer Lopez Reveals Her ‘Cure-All’ Skincare Ingredient Ahead of Beauty Line Launch

How does Jennifer Lopez look as enviously glowing as she does? She let Vogue know her secret ingredient while chatting about her upcoming skincare line JLo Beauty.

“My mom used to say that olive oil was the cure-all for everything,” the 2020 Billboard Women in Music Icon Award recipient explained, referring to her JLo Beauty Olive Complex, a blend of squalane, fermented olive oil, extra-virgin olive oil, and olive leaf extract.

The multihyphenate’s eight-piece skincare collection launches on January 1, and includes a cream cleanser, multitasking serum, “wonder cream,” sunscreen, eye cream, masks, complexion booster and a dietary supplement. “Everyone fought me hardest on the supplements,” Lopez explained of her once-daily capsules. “But skin care doesn’t work without boosting what’s going on inside.”

And while her beauty line is dropping in just a few weeks, one thing that Lopez is taking her time with is her sweet relationship with fiancé Alex Rodriguez. The couple had to postpone their wedding twice as the coronavirus continues to spread, but she told Access Hollywood that she’s in “no rush.”

“You know we’ve talked about so many different things cause we had to cancel the wedding last year because of COVID, because of the quarantine, and we actually did it twice, which people don’t know, where we had it in different times – first one canceled and then second one canceled as well – and so I don’t know,” she explained. “We kind of have let it go for a second.”

Simplr Consumer Survey Reveals Outsized Role of Customer Service in Online Holiday Shopping Plans

SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 3, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — The global pandemic is continuing to reshape the retail sector, fueling $189B* in anticipated online holiday sales and forcing brands to wage a virtual battle for customer loyalty. Retailers that enter 2021 with a tailwind will be those that elevate their customer service, according to a survey of 750 consumers conducted in October 2020 by Simplr, in which 90 percent of consumers who shop online said exceptional customer service is important when choosing where to shop. That loyalty translates into revenue, as six in 10 consumers said they will give a retailer more business if it provides exceptional customer service.

Retailers cannot risk an online letdown, given that consumers surveyed estimate a 60 percent increase in their online holiday shopping from last year.

“If CX leaders think they’re ready for the digital stampede, they should know that more than half of consumers we surveyed don’t share that optimism,” said Daniel Rodriguez, CMO of Simplr, a human-first, machine-enabled customer experience platform.

Fifty-five percent of consumers do not believe, or are unsure, that their favorite online retailers can handle the volume of customer service inquiries this holiday season. Perhaps to combat that concern, 82 percent expect to shop online at stores they know and trust.

The NOW Customer wants fast, around the clock, responses to their inquiries

Six in 10 consumers said their customer service expectations are set by the standards of the best retailers. When asked what elements are key to exceptional customer service, consumers said:

  • Fast response time: 60 percent
  • 24/7 customer service: 41 percent
  • Connecting via live chat or email: 37 percent
  • Online chat with a person 24/7: 33 percent
  • Complex questions handled professionally, with empathy and respect: 30 percent

“The expectation from consumers of immediate responses delivered anytime, across multiple channels, in an efficient yet empathic manner defines what Simpr calls the NOW Customer,” said Rodriguez.

The unseen role of reviews when the NOW Customer is neglected

One-third of consumers surveyed said they have experienced being ignored or “left hanging” by a retailer when they have had a request or inquiry. That neglect does not go unnoticed by consumers, as half said they are “extremely or very likely” to tell a friend and/or post on social media channels about the negative experience; that rises to 55 percent among frequent shoppers and 63 percent among those aged 21-34.

Many retailers are kept in the dark about consumers’ negative experiences with their brand, as 45 percent of consumers said they do not want to leave negative reviews. While brands might see a lack of negative reviews as an indicator of customer service success, consumers’ reasons for not leaving a negative review may ultimately damage a brand. When asked why they do not leave negative reviews, surveyed consumers said:

  • I just want to move on from that retailer: 54 percent
  • I can’t be bothered to take the time to leave a bad review: 31 percent

JoJo & Jordan’s Wedding Date Will Be In 2021, ‘Bachelorette’ Star Reveals

They may have to wait longer than anticipated for their dream wedding, but JoJo Fletcher says she and Jordan Rodgers will get married “no matter what” while sharing plans for the big day with fellow former Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay. JoJo and Jordan — who got engaged on the 2016 season of the reality show — originally planned to tie the knot in June 2020, but were forced to postpone their wedding due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Despite getting engaged over four years ago, JoJo and Jordan weren’t in a rush to get married right away because they wanted to make sure that their relationship was solid before they tied the knot. Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez postponed their wedding earlier this year due to the pandemic, however, it turns out that they postponed a second time as well.

Speaking with Access, the 51-year-old actress opened up about delaying their nuptials.

“You know we’ve talked about so many different things cause we had to cancel the wedding last year because of COVID, because of the quarantine,” she shared, adding that “we actually did it twice, which people don’t know, where we had it in different times – first one canceled and then second one canceled as well – and so I don’t know.”

The brand posted a photo of the skincare line on Instagram on Wednesday, revealing the gorgeous gold packaging and name for each item — That JLo Glow Multitasking Serum, That Limitless Glow Multitasking Mask, That Big Screen Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Moisturizer, That Blockbuster Wonder Cream, That Hit Single Gel-Creme Cleanser, That Fresh Take Eye Cream and That Star Filter Complexion Booster. 

Fans can sign up on the JLo Beauty website to get early access to the That JLo Glow Multitasking Serum and That Blockbuster Wonder Cream and pre-order the rest of the collection on Dec. 8. 

Lopez shared stunning campaign images on Instagram. The multi-hyphenate is absolutely glowing and fresh-faced in the photos as she poses in water. In a video, she talks about the tagline of her brand, “Beauty has no expiration date.”

“As women, people are so ready to write us off. I just kept waiting for that to happen, and I realized, no, I’m not gonna let that happen. It’s about being limitless. It’s about being powerful and understanding beauty really doesn’t have an expiration date,” Lopez narrates in the video.

Lopez captioned the post, “This isn’t just a passion project, it’s a 30-year dream. I can’t wait to share my skincare secrets with you!!”

Last month, Lopez was honored with the People’s Icon Award at the E! People’s Choice Awards. She looked beautiful in a red ruffled Christian Siriano dress. For her beauty look, Lopez used her upcoming JLo Beauty skincare products.

Back in December 2019, the JLO Holding Company, LLC filed a trademark for cosmetics and skincare products, according to the United States Patent and Trademark Office, including skin moisturizers, beauty masks and skin cleansers.

In December 2018, Lopez teased she was launching a skincare line during a speaking engagement in New York City, reported by Refinery 29.

“I will be coming out with a skincare line. I’ve been working on it for a long time because I don’t want to put [just] anything out,” she told the moderator, who asked about her skincare routine. “I get that question a lot, especially as I get older. I want it to be something that encompasses all the things I’ve learned and all the secrets I have. And it doesn’t have anything to do with needles.”

The “On the Floor” singer is no stranger to launching beauty products. Lopez has had multiple fragrances, including the popular Glow by JLO, and a makeup range with Inglot. Additionally, the style icon recently collaborated with Coach on the Hutton Shoulder Bag. She also has a shoe line at DSW.

Favorite fashion in film: The first time I saw “Belle de Jour,” it made me want to run to the hairdresser, wear thick black eyeliner, granny shoes, silk stockings and a trench coat. Catherine Deneuve is breathtakingly beautiful, poised, with a certain darkness to her.

I also recently rewatched “To Catch a Thief.” Cary Grant and Grace Kelly are absolute visual magic. Grant’s effortless grace and style made me appreciate menswear in a way I hadn’t before.

Favorite film that takes place in the fashion world: “Unzipped.”  I had the honor and pleasure of meeting Isaac Mizrahi on several occasions and am somewhat close to his orbit through Parsons. Watching him share the behind-the-scenes of his life and friends and humor and approach to fashion was magic. It made me fall in love with him.

Also “Signe Chanel.” It was one of my favorite films on Chanel. I shared it with my entire team when I was at J.Crew.

Hottest men’s fashion in a film: Robert Redford in “Out of Africa.” Nothing like a beautiful sandy/blonde man and 8 million shades of khaki with a backdrop of sand dunes and sweat. It worked for me.

Film looks you’d love to own: Michelle Pfeiffer in “Scarface” and Sharon Stone in “Casino.” Old-school sexy, over-the-top glamour.

Celebrity fashion icon: Cate Blanchett is the ultimate chameleon. She can wear intensely feminine without looking sweet. She can wear a men’s suit while still maintaining a softness. She can handle big volume and ruffles and a slip dress. She manages to always look unique without following the pack.

Favorite Oscar look: All-time favorite is Lupita Nyong’o in that stunning, plunging Prada v-neck dress in powder blue in 2014. She glowed. It was perfection.

Among a series of behind-the-scenes images, shared with her followers on Instagram, the star can be seen with her brunette locks obscured by a wig.

In the same snap, she holds up a phone screen bearing an image of George Michael posing during the 1980s – sporting a remarkably similar hairdo.

Other pictures posted in the same carousel include Corrin sitting on a sofa covered in magazines specially-made for the set of royal series, as well as a video of her being fitted for a version of the late Princess of Wales’ iconic wedding dress.

Beverley Callard’s husband Jon McEwan has revealed he is planning on surprising the Coronation Street star by organising for the pair to renew their wedding vows.

The actress, 63, who is best known for playing Liz McDonald on the ITV soap, married Jon in 2010 and is now starring on the new series of I’m A Celebrity.

While Beverley has been in camp, Jon has been busy planning for the pair to say ‘I do’ all over again, as he wants the couple to ‘reaffirm their love’ after all they’ve been through.

Jon appeared on Loose Women on Monday and revealed how ‘proud’ he is of his wife Beverley for overcoming a severe hip injury – that saw her take time off Corrie as she was unable to walk – to star on I’m A Celeb this year.

Inspired by his partner, Jon said: ‘When she went through all the operations I thought to myself, “If she can do this…”, about three months ago, she couldn’t even walk properly.

‘I started planning [the vow renewal] then, I’m the fourth husband believe it or not and I thought, I can cement this deal and renew the vows. It’s almost there in the planning, Covid-19 permitting.’

Jon has been doing all of this in secret and explained Beverley has ‘no idea’.

‘I’ve never really understood why people renew their wedding vows, but I kind of do now. We’ve been through so much together, we should just reaffirm our love basically,’ he said.

Jon added that he plans for the renewal ceremony to be much more private and quieter than the couple’s first wedding, which saw Beverley walk down the aisle with 22 bridesmaids.

Claiming he may even get down on knee again, Jon said: ‘I want to take her to one side and say, “it’s all planned, it’s all done, you’ve just got to come with me.”

‘It’s going to be very quiet, very private, just family and a few close friends.’

Jon even gave a rehearsal of his vow proposal live on air, as he pretended to be talking to Beverley directly and said: ‘Beverly, I love you, you were a Queen before you even walked in [camp], we’re together and we’re going to do this, this time just for us.’

Beverley has been married four times. She previously wed her first husband, Paul Atkinson in 1974, who she shares daughter Rebecca with.

In 1980, the star married ex David Sowden and went on to later wed third husband Steve Called in 1989. She and Steve are parents to son Joshua.
